About this role:

AdvisorEngine is seeking a highly skilled Senior Onboarding Specialist who will roll up their sleeves and own the onboarding and implementation of new financial advisory firms who have purchased our technology. As a key member of the team, you will ensure the successful and timely launch of AdvisorEngine’s wealth management technology and adherence to a project plan. You will collaborate with cross-functional internal teams to deliver consistently excellent client experiences while building a network of champions across the client firm. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with clients, onboarding, training and Relationship Management. Our ideal candidate is adept at project management, can teach and encourage clients to be self-sufficient with the Wealth Platform and CRM and can influence technology adoption.


  • Build shared AE/client project plans to manage tasks and milestones leading to on time implementations
  • Own and ensure a successful implementation of our Portfolio Management and CRM technology for new clients
  • Drive technology adoption to ensure clients are obtaining maximum value from our technology services
  • Coordinate between the client’s stakeholders and the AdvisorEngine data migrations, configuration specialist and training team to project manage each client onboarding process
  • Maintain and deliver client success strategies and best practices including trading, rebalancing, billing, goals based planning, client portal and CRM
  • Build a network of champions across the client firm and internally
  • Problem solve and bring in technical support from various departments to ensure our technology is fully implemented in a way that delivers great value to our clients
  • Review the customer onboarding journey, identifying how it’s implemented and supported, taking a consultative approach in helping clients overcome issues and achieve goals
  • Facilitate interactions between project team members, including third-party service providers, to ensure deliverables are on time
  • Collaboratively problem solve and/or strategize on upcoming client meetings with internal team members and clients

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3-5 years experience in the financial technology industry
  • Knowledge of the Registered Investment Advice business
  • Expertise in wealth platform technology and portfolio management; including trading, rebalancing, billing, workflows, portfolio management and CRM systems
  • Relationship focused with an ability to instruct
  • Strong social, verbal and written communication
  • Strong problem solving and project management skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Comfortable working across multiple departments in a deadline-driven environment
  • Active team player, self-starter and multitasker who can quickly adjust priorities
  • Analytical and process-oriented mindset
  • Assistance with additional projects on an as needed basis
